Alex and Olivia met during their sophomore year at Penn State. They became friends through the club gymnastics team and after 2+ years of friendship, Alex asked Olivia on a date. The saying "as one door closes, another one opens" couldn't describe their story any better. Olivia was hesitant at first for anything to come between their friendship, but very quickly learned how compatible they really were together and how special their relationship already was. They also share so many of the same interests - watching the Nittany Lions and Philadelphia Eagles football, gymnastics, traveling, Harry Potter, good food, and the beach. It feels like fate that at a university as large as Penn State they were able to cross paths and ultimately blossom their friendship into a future ever-lasting companionship. Alex popped the question almost 6 years later on the beach in the Outer Banks, a favorite vacation spot for both of them. They couldn't be more excited to have all their family and friends from all different walks of their lives, both as individuals and as a couple, come together to celebrate this very special next chapter! #forbetterorwertz
