ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?

While we love your kids we have chosen to keep our wedding events adults-only.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Answer
Black Tie Optional. For ladies think midi/maxi dresses or jumpsuits and for men suits or tuxes. Be as colorful as you’d like! Ladies reminder the ceremony will be in pea gravel for shoes.

WHAT WILL THERE BE TO BE EAT?
Answer
A variety of passed appetizers will be served during cocktail hour. For dinner you will have the choice of stations and able to serve at your leisure.

WHERE ARE THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION TAKING PLACE?
Answer
Both events will be held at the Vanlandingham Estate. Cocktail hour will begin immediately after the ceremony and then lead into reception area.

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?
Answer
If you are a local guest who will be driving to the event we suggest the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church parking lot or there is street parking on Belvedere Avenue. If you are not local please utilize Lyft, Uber or local taxi services to arrive (short 7 minute trip).

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?
Answer
Early fall weather in Charlotte is typically mild. We are hoping for a sunny and 70 degree day. However, please be prepared for temps between 65 and low 80s.

I WILL BE VISITING FROM OUT OF TOWN. WHAT CAN I DO WHILE I'M IN CHARLOTTE?

Check out our Things To Do page for lots of options! Charlotte has a lot to offer from outdoors water sports to a fancy cocktail you will be in for a fun-filled weekend! Note Morgan Wallen has now scheduled a concert Friday and Saturday- plan ahead for travel, transportation, reservations etc. Please see our travel page for hotel accommodations.

WHEN DO I NEED TO RSVP BY?
Answer
Please RSVP by September 1st using the RSVP tab in the menu. If you do not RSVP in time we will assume you are unable to attend.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?
Answer
Ceremony begins at 4:30p. Please arrive 20-30 minutes prior to ceremony to allow time for parking and finding your seat. Please note there is a Morgan Wallen concert in town Friday and Saturday so be sure to check timing of transportation! Thanks!

CAN I TAKE PICTURES DURING THE CEREMONY?
Answer
We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be put away and silenced. We want everyone to be fully present with us. We promise there will be time for pictures!

WILL THERE BE AN OPEN BAR?
Answer
Yes! The drinks are on us, the hangover is on you — get ready to party!! Please make sure transportation is lined up for safety.

WILL THE WEDDING BE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?
Answer
The ceremony will take place outside. The cocktail hour is a blend of indoor and outdoor and the reception is outdoor (under a tent).

CAN I BRING A GUEST/DATE?
Answer
We are only able to accommodate those formally invited on your invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding and reach out with any questions.
