Surprisingly, we grew up less than a mile away from each other in the same hometown Libertyville, IL without ever crossing paths. The first time we met was years after college at a music festival in Chicago on Sept 3rd, 2016. It was my 26th birthday weekend and one of the most memorable ones to date after meeting the love of my life, Jordan. We spent the rest of the summer/fall watching the Cubs win the World Series for the first time since 1908. We were getting to celebrate our precious Cubbies while getting to know each other and our mutual passion for art, fashion, food and travel. After countless trips together, including a visit to Denver, we quickly fell in love with the city and all it had to offer. When the time came, it was easy to make the decision to move out West. We continued exploring all over the state of Colorado leading us to a few of our favorite mountain towns, you could probably guess… Telluride and Aspen took the cake. The rest is History.
As many of you know, Jordan and I absolutely love exploring in the mountains. We immediately jump on any opportunity to share our love for mountains with family and friends. With fall being our favorite time of year in Colorado, we eagerly planned a trip to Telluride with both our families. On our way to lunch, Jordan convinced me to ride up the gondola to scope out a good spot for family photos. As we were walking to San Sophia Overlook, I noticed red rose petals scattered all over and instantly knew what was coming. Overlooking the mountains of gold leaves and sheer beauty, Jordan got down on one knee and asked me the most important question of our lives. If you're still reading this… you already know what my answer was, "HELL YES!" After a glass of champagne and lots of tears, we were so excited to join our families for lunch. Not only were they waiting for us when we got back to the restaurant, extended family was there as well. After more tears and toasts, we took everyone to the overlook to see where Jordan proposed. We then headed back to our mountain retreat. Little did I know, Jordan had more surprises in store. Some of our best friends were there, arms up, yelling “SURPRISE!” Jordan planned an amazing dinner with an outstanding chef and bartender that kept the party going. We enjoyed the loving company of friends and family. I could not have asked for a more beautiful weekend celebration. Everyone who flew in from all over the country made it the most precious celebration… until we reunite with ALL of you on 9.24.22!
