Valentine's Day 2021 was fast approaching and Covid-19 restrictions were fully enforced at Boston College. A group of students at BC decided to spearhead a Valentine's Day Matching system called The Marriage Pact. After answering what had to be one hundred questions, ranking our answers on a scale of 1 to 7, we both received an email with each others names and school emails. Katie boldly made the first move; following Miguel on Instagram. Miguel then replied with a text-book pick up line. The rest is history.

It was April 8th, 2024 and the Total Solar Eclipse was taking place. We were in Erie, PA experiencing a breathtaking natural phenomenon. As totality was ending, Katie exclaimed "Look Miguel it's the diamond ring effect!" Miguel replied with "Katie, there's another diamond ring!" She turned around and saw Miguel down on one knee, ring in hand.

After a 6-month travel stint to Chicago, we have been living in Philly since December 2023. We love to go for walks, whether to a coffee shop for a morning pick-me-up or to a restaurant for a bite to eat. This past Christmas we got a puppy! Clover is an English Springer Spaniel and an absolute delight. She loves people and is always ready to snuggle. She probably won't make an appearance at the wedding, but you never know.
