We would like to make it clear that while we appreciate gifts, they are not expected. Your presence at our wedding is present enough! If you are interested in purchasing a gift, there are three options.
1) Donation to a charity we feel passionate about. If you donate, please let us know so we can send a thank you!
2) Due to COVID, we have been supporting local and Indigenous businesses. We wanted this reflected in our registry. We have been able to do this, but it is a bit more complicated than a regular registry. Please see below how to use this registry.
If you are looking for a more traditional registry, please see option 3!
3) Amazon: this is a classic registry where you simply click and send. Our address is already plugged in and you don't have to pay for shipping, so the process should be seamless!
Donation to A Charity
As mentioned we already have most of what we need. In lieu of presents we would also welcome a donation to the charity mentioned here. As many of you know Mieke works with Indigenous communities and both Brandon and Mieke are passionate about supporting Northern capacity development. If you donate, please let us know so we can send a thank you! (there is no automatic mechanism to let us know you have donated here)
BYTE is a ‘for youth, by youth’ organization, focused on empowering youth throughout the Yukon and Canada’s north. We travel to northern communities to deliver innovative programming, and host events in Whitehorse that foster creativity, culture and sport. Everything we do is about helping youth to develop confidence, skills, openness and a sense of belonging.

We are trying our best to buy and support local. As mentioned, this registry is a bit more challenging, but if possible we appreciate purchasing from this list!
