Question

What do I need to know before the wedding?

Answer

We look forward to spending the weekend with you! Here are a couple key things we think might help you feel ready for the event: 1. Please bring indoor shoes on Saturday! Also make sure to bring a sweater or coat, in the mountains the evening can be cold! 2. We have a shuttle leaving from Copper Point to the venue for both Friday and Sat. We encourage everyone to take the shuttle. You will be assigned a shuttle for both night to the venue. Michael Coppes and Max Coppes will be in charge of the shuttles. 3. We are not hiring a videographer so we are asking everyone to install the Ceremony App (https://get.ceremonyapp.com) and upload a one minute video from the weekend! We will provide the event code via e-mail and in person! If possible please download the app in advance and feel free to share any photos! 4. Remember the event is outside and in a barn!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We will be arranging a shuttle from Invereme to the wedding location for Saturday (wedding day). It will depart from and bring guests back to the Copper Point Hotel only. It will only be going to that hotel. Invermere is a small town and does not have a large amount of shuttles, taxies, or ubers, so we recommend staying at Copper Point if you plan on drinking during the wedding. As for Friday night BBQ, we will be arranging a shuttle as well. Both nights will have two shuttle going to the event and three shuttle runs back. You will be assigned a shuttle route to the event, but are free to take the one you want bacl. We recommend carpooling as much as possible/comfortable. We are exploring the idea of facebook group for carpooling and will update if it happens.

Question

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

For the Friday BBQ - Summer BBQ attire For the Wedding Ceremony and Reception - elegant summer dresses/outfits and suit jackets For the Sunday Breakfast - western casual (or just casual if no western is available) Please note that we will be in the mountains, that means it can be hot in the day, but will be cold at night. Please bring sweaters/wraps for the evening. Also the ceremony and some events will be held outside/in fields. So wear high heels at your own risk. Finally, the Sat dinner will be held inside and there is an indoor shoe policy, so bring slippers/indoor shoes for the dinner.

Question

Where is the nearest airport?

Answer

There are two airports that we recommend you fly into, either the Calgary Airport or the Cranbrook Airport. However you will still need to drive from both airports to Invermere. Calgary is about 3 hours away, Cranbrook is about 1.5 hours away.

Question

How do I get to Invermere?

Answer

You will need to drive to Invermere, likely from Calgary. Please look into car rentals for the weekend as there is no bus or public transit to get to Invermere. We will be making a facebook group for people who want to commute together. Please let Mieke/Brandon know if you are interested in sharing a ride or need a ride!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes there is parking, but the location is down a dirt road for about 20 min.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, we would love to accommodate any food allergy you have.

Question

What about bad weather?

Answer

Please note Invermere can have a variety of weather at the time including, sun, rain, hail, snow and sometimes that can all happen in one day! But don't worry there will be indoor and outdoor options so if the weather is terrible we can move the ceremony inside or frolic in the rain. Please check the weather before the wedding and dress appropriately!
