Family and friends, welcome to the #anski wedding!

Susanna (aka Annie) and Michael (aka Borski) met in 2017 through a mutual friend. We spent two years as coworkers, quickly becoming good friends. During our friendship, we supported each other through the ups and downs of startup life, and life in general. Annie left Tinfoil in 2019 for a new life in software engineering, and not long after, our friendship which had grown so strong blossomed into something more. :)

Annie: When I met Borski, he seemed incredibly extroverted with far too much energy, and like he would probably drive me totally nuts. During two years of great friendship, I saw how capable, kind and thoughtful he really is, and all that extroverted energy didn’t seem quite so overwhelming anymore. ;) Dating him was the easiest decision I’ve ever made, and I can’t wait to call him my husband! Borski: The first time I laid eyes on Annie, my first thought was “damn, she’s hot.” Then my second thought was probably a billion other things because, you know, ADHD. Over a few years, Annie became my best friend, faster than either of us would have expected. I saw how kind, genuine and driven she is, and how she sees and brings out the best in others. She was the first person I ever met that was introverted and still managed to be “cool.” ;) More importantly, she’s the first person who has ever helped my brain slow down, usually for just a few minutes to, literally, enjoy the little things. Her calmness is one of her best qualities. :) I tell myself how lucky I am every day to know her and can’t wait to make her officially mine!

Annie: I’m an avid book reader/listener, and my book club has been a constant source of support and enjoyment since joining in 2012, right after moving to the Bay Area. I also enjoy gardening, rock climbing, birdwatching, jigsaw puzzles, coloring, going to the movies, getting coffee with friends, and volunteering at the Humane Society of Silicon Valley. Borski: Name a thing, and I’ve probably been into it for at least a little bit of time. I love music, singing, and music production. I love programming and building things. I love cooking and photography (a recently renewed hobby). I love Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, traveling, and spending time with friends, just… sorta love life. Particularly, I love this life, with this woman. :) Pandemic-induced hobbies have included but are not limited to winemaking, hydroponic gardening, building home automation systems, and bartending. Even tried raising jellyfish as pets for a while, but they were very boring. :) #Anski: Together we really enjoy fostering kittens, concerts, escape rooms, traveling, scuba diving (we are looking forward to doing more of this on our honeymoon!), board games, wine tasting, and hanging with friends. We can’t wait to celebrate our wedding day with you!
