Mamasita Medallo
This is our favorite restaurant for Colombian food. We highly recommend going here for lunch and ordering a bandeja paisa with a limonada de coco to drink. You won't regret it.
Amor-Acuyá Gelato
Voted 2nd best gelato IN THE WORLD. You must go here, unless we end up bringing some to the wedding to share. Get two scoops. First scoop, the namesake flavor. Second scoop, your choice.
El Tesoro Parque Comercial
The nicest mall in Medellin, in the heights of Poblado. Don't try to walk to it. We've done it. It's not far, but it is all straight up hill. There are a lot of nice, high-end shops. It has beautiful views of the city, and it's nice to just walk around the mall. The Cinemark movie theater here is our favorite anywhere. There is a park with a mini coaster, train, log flume ride, etc for kids, as well as a large arcade. Super cool.
Cuon
Michael's favorite restaurant for dinner. Asian fusion. The basil ice cream dessert is amazing.
La Causa
Mari's favorite restaurant for dinner. Nikkei cuisine (Japanese-Peruvian fusion). All the food is great.
Mercado del Río
Trendy Food Hall with tons of options from over 15 countries. Awesome spot for lunch with a group who all want something different. We like the Indian food, Tacos, Smoothies, and Colombian Food. It's a bit hot here during the day and with no AC, just a heads up, but it hasn't bothered us.
Guatapé
If you want to visit Guatape on Saturday morning for the day. We highly recommend booking ahead of time.
