Annie and Michael’s story began on a May evening in 2017, at a Mexican restaurant called Cazuela’s on OSU campus. It was one of those early summer nights brimming with the promise of long, warm days ahead. Both of them were invited by mutual friends for what was supposed to be just another fun night out. Little did they know, this would be the night their paths would cross. Annie was back in Worthington from Miami University, while Michael had decided to stay on campus in Columbus for the summer. Their mutual friends, Jessie and Will, who had known each other for years, somehow never managed to introduce Annie and Michael before. But fate had a different plan. From the moment they laid eyes on each other, sparks flew. Seated across the table, Annie and Michael enjoyed their Mexican food and margaritas, laughing and chatting with their friends. Annie’s bubbly personality and radiant smile immediately captivated Michael, making him a bit shy. On the other hand, Annie was instantly drawn to Michael, thinking he was incredibly handsome. The evening continued at Out R Inn, a popular spot on campus. Michael's interest in Annie grew even more and before the night ended, he mustered the courage to get her number. A few days later, Michael texted Annie, asking her out on an official date. He eagerly waited on her response, while she was trying to make up her mind. Finally, she responded with, "Sure!".... one week later. Their first date was at COSI After Dark, an adults-only event at the children’s science museum. But before diving into the fun, they revisited their love for Mexican food at Bakersfield restaurant. The date was a blast, and soon they found themselves spending more time together—hiking at Highbanks, playing soccer in the park, enjoying Zoombezi Bay, and, of course, returning to Cazuela’s. That summer was unforgettable, filled with endless fun and a blossoming romance! But as August approached, reality set in. Annie had to return to Miami University, and Michael stayed in Columbus. They parted ways, unsure if long distance would work out. Yet, they never truly forgot each other. Over time, their romantic chemistry evolved into a deep friendship, and they stayed in touch. A year later, in August 2018, they rekindled their romance and officially got back together. Ironically, they had to endure long distance for four more years as Annie pursued her Dietetics and Master’s in Public Health degrees while Michael worked on the road as a Project Manager. Despite the distance, their bond only grew stronger. When it was time for Annie to find a job, they chose Indianapolis, Indiana, where Michael’s company had an office, and Annie found her first Clinical Dietitian position. They settled in Fishers, Indiana, and have loved it ever since. In a poetic twist of fate, Michael proposed to Annie right outside of COSI, where they had their first date, during a trip home to Columbus. Annie thought they were celebrating her friend Jessie’s birthday, but Michael had a surprise planned. With Jessie taking pictures and Annie’s family hiding nearby, Michael knelt down and asked Annie to marry him. She said "Yes!", and they celebrated the night away! Now engaged for over two years, Annie and Michael are excited for what’s to come. They enjoy traveling, spending time together, and laughing with each other. Annie even taught Michael to ski, a passion they now share with her family. Michael fits seamlessly into Annie’s family, and Annie loves the Gallucci family. Their differences complement each other perfectly—Michael is loyal, light-hearted, attentive and determined while Annie is loving, creative, outgoing and adventurous. They challenge each other and truly make each other better versions of themselves. As they prepare to celebrate their special wedding day, they can’t wait to share their joy with all of you. Annie and Michael have never been happier and look forward to a lifetime of adventures together!
