This is a newer spot in downtown Newport, but one of our favorites. It's a HUGE place, but still manages to feel cozy. If you're looking for a delicious burger, you can't go wrong with the Good Burger.
Another favorite - Michaela's parents have a standing Friday night date night at the second level bar during the summers. The restaurant has three different levels, all with different menus and levels of fancy - four if you count the Boom Boom Room in the basement. Great spot for everything from sushi to a burger to a nice fish dish. Their espresso martinis are the best in town!
Great seafood and great views. Another beautiful spot right downtown.
Michaela spent her summers behind the counter at The Coffee Grinder, so we're definitely not biased when we tell you that this spot has the best views in all of Newport. Grab a cappuccino and a homemade pastry and enjoy the view from an adirondack chair on the dock.
Great homemade pasta and pizza dishes in a new location. They also have locations in Boston and Providence so the name may sound familiar.
Great brunch spot on Broadway, but it's tiny and gets busy so arrive early or plan to wait. They also serve lunch and dinner. BYOB for dinner.
Casual spot good for grabbing lunch or a quick bite. They serve a limited menu of burgers, hot dogs, and falafel and local beers and wine.
Great casual spot for ramen and Asian inspired dishes. BYOB.
No frills, local Irish pub/dive bar with pool tables and dart boards. One of our favorites for a casual night out.
Another great Broadway bar. Great beer selection and bar food. More of a locals vibe than the Thames Street restaurants/bars.
Beautiful back patio on the water, but definitely a pricier spot. It's also a hotel with a couple different restaurants.
They have a couple locations throughout Newport, but the Broadway location is the original (and our favorite). The other locations are at the corner of Memorial and Bellevue, and by First Beach.
Great, newer coffee shop at the far end of Broadway (away from downtown).
Tour one of Newport's famous mansions while you're in town. Different mansions have different hours of operation and tour options so make sure to check the website beforehand.
Also known as "First Beach," this is the closest beach option to downtown, right at the start of the Cliff Walk. There is some street parking (metered) and two large public (paid) lots available.
Most commonly referred to as "Second Beach," this beach is a continuation of the same shoreline as First Beach, but tends to be a bit quieter and more family friendly. Usually a great spot for surfing, boogie boarding, and wave jumping. Parking tends to fill up so get there early to ensure you get a spot if you're driving.
The quietest and most family friendly of the three beaches, but also the smallest so parking is limited. Public grills and picnic tables available. Because this faces the harbor, the water is much calmer than First and Second Beach.
Another great outdoor option if you're not looking to head to the beach or walk the Cliff Walk. Plenty of walking trails and small hikes.
We look forward to seeing you at Bar & Board for our Welcome Drinks on Friday night! This is also a great place to grab a drink, snack, or meal throughout the weekend. Plenty of seating and multiple bars.
