We're getting married! Please come celebrate our love with us in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. We will be tying the knot and dancing the nights away with our loved ones at the all-inclusive resort Pueblo Bonito Sunset. Because the resort requires wedding guests to also stay at the resort, we are requesting that all guests stay with us at PB Sunset. Please see more info under the Travel section.
Back in 2015, Jon and Michaela met at a student show at Groundlings in Los Angeles. They grabbed drinks with friends afterwards, and Jon and Michaela struck up a conversation. It wasn't necessarily love at first sight, but they loosely began to date. Their first official date was at a fave Hollywood bar, Good Times at Davey Wayne's, where they danced the night away to 70s hits. They dated on-and-off for about three months until they finally called it quits. Flash forward to 2018 - Michaela and Jon hadn't been in touch, and both had dated other people. But Michaela went to see her friend, Nicole Blume, perform in a Groundlings advanced writing lab show. And it just so turns out that Jon was also performing in that same show. When she showed up, the usher pointed her to her seat. In the row was Jon's ex-girlfriend, current girlfriend, his mom, his dad, and then Michaela's seat. Michaela tentatively made her way to the seat, thinking the universe was playing some kind of joke on her. But during the show, she made fast friends with Jon's parents. They all laughed together and had a great time. After the show, Jon and Michaela struck up a friendly text conversation. It wasn't until 2019 that they saw each other again. Jon was starring in a solo show, "Pleading Infinity" at the LA Fringe festival. Michaela had also done a solo show, so knowing how much work goes into it, she wanted to come out and support. She once again sat with Jon's parents, and stayed around after the show to hug Jon and take a picture with him (upon his mom's request). Jon asked Michaela if she wanted to get a friendly coffee sometime. She laughed, thinking it'd never happen - people say that all the time. But two weeks later, Jon made true on his promise and hit her up for coffee. That coffee turned into a ten-hour day. The two spent time together in Santa Monica before ending the day in Sherman Oaks. They laughed, dipped their toes in the ocean, ate food together, caught up, and once again became friends. A few months later, they once again met up as friends. This time, they quickly fell into dating, making the promise to each other that they'd just have fun with no plans for a relationship. But they never wanted the fun to stop. And years later, they're still making each other laugh, dancing together, and having fun every day.
