Easy place to shop around! Great restaurants, shops, & it's close to everything. This is a go-to date spot of ours - for coffee, gelato, pizza, and our favorite place - (drumroll, please) Postino's! I recommend the bruschetta board! The Quarter is also a 5-minute walk to the Westin Kierland Resort - grab a cocktail and sit on their patio for a beautiful view!
Your place for some old western charm (and fun nightlife)! On an afternoon out, walk around Old Town to explore a unique collection of shops, restaurants, art galleries and great bars. We insist that you get some ice cream at Sugar Bowl. If you're there later, this is a great spot for bar hopping. We love Rusty Spur Saloon!
If you have a car or can stand a little bit of a longer Uber, Downtown Gilbert is a fantastic place to spend your afternoon (and it has great night life)! As the halfway point between both of our houses, this was a frequent date spot for us in the first year of our relationship. There are TONS of great restaurants and coffee shops if you just walk the main strip! A few minutes further down the road is Mythical Coffee - where Weston spends nearly all of his free time when he is in town. On Saturday morning, you can even catch their Farmer's Market... but make sure to hurry back for our big day!
If you are staying for a bit and have access to a car, Arizona is too stunning not to explore. Drive about 1.5 hours North and you'll find yourself in the red rocks of Sedona. Grab a coffee overlooking the gorgeous views, or hike our favorite - West Fork Trail. Just a bit further north is Flagstaff, Arizona - where Michaela went to college! Visit downtown Flagstaff and grab coffee at Macy's, shop around the town square, get lunch or dinner at The Lumberyard, and have a pint (or two) at the many breweries in the area. And of course, there are lots of hikes and mountains and gorgeous things to see there too. But my priority is the good food.
