Due to the size limitation at the Ceremony our invitations are going to have two categories, Those invited to the ceremony and reception, and those invited to the reception. When you get your invitation in the mail it will state which function you are invited too. The ceremony is intended to be primarily between family, while the reception is open to all who would like to join. We love all of yall and wish we could afford a larger event but hope you understand.
We decided on an Elopement simply due to us having our families on two different coast. While we know by doing so it limits how many family and friends from both sides can be present, it does make the travel/expense more equal amongst both families.
Yes! Since we are choosing to ask those important to us to travel for our nuptials we wanted to give people and opportunity to have a trip/vacation aside from just focusing on us. We understand the stress of having to travel for a wedding and how it is not always ideal; so we wanted to allow those we love to be able to enjoy themselves outside of just our wedding festivities.
The location that we have chosen is a staple of elopement locations and only allows 20 people to be present. While both of us have large families and would love everyone to be there, we simply can not afford it or expect the majority of our families to travel from such an occasion. The "reception" is also non-traditional and simply just a dinner for those that are present for the occasion.
Short answer: Between Brishon's musical talents and the special place that Elvis's music hold in Michaela's family, it just seemed like a fun and memorable choice. Long answer: Just ask Michaela how much Elvis means to her moms side of the family if you need more of an answer.
