On the western bank of the lake, this quintessential Italian town offers a quiet retreat with accessibility by water taxi or ferry to all the lake has to offer. It is preferred that guests stay at the Grand Hotel Imperiale Resort & Spa for easy transport to wedding events. Should you opt to book elsewhere, we recommend staying between Moltrasio and Como center along the southwestern shoreline. For guests seeking the comforts of home, the Hilton and Sheraton are nearby. Other noteworthy and close accommodations include Villa d'Este and Passalacqua. Private villa and apartment rentals can be found on airbnb, vrbo, essenza escapes, any many other private websites.

Milan Malpensa International Airport

Milan Malpensa International Airport is 60mi (95km) from Como. Guests heading directly to Como from the airport can opt for train, car rental, or private shuttle transfers. Train: catch the Malpensa Express from the airport to Saronno. You will then transfer to the Trenord regional line arriving in Como, total duration approximately 1.5 hours. Car: head to Terminal 1 to find every major car rental company. Be sure to book your rental in advance, confirm parking at your accommodation in Como, give yourself a little cushion for reservation times (better to be a few minutes early than late), and don't forget to bring your International Driver's License! Private Transfers: Lake Como Transfers offers private shuttles services from the airport direct to your destination in Como. The ride will take 1.5 - 2.5hrs. Providers do book up so make sure to schedule in advance, including your return if necessary!

Train

Milan Central Station to Como San Giovanni Station

Milan Centrale Station in the Piazza Duca D'Aosta is an attraction in and of itself. Plan some extra time to take in the architecture and navigate one of Europe's busiest transportation hubs. About 5 - 10 trains head to Como daily and tickets can be purchased a month in advance or minutes before departure at the station. The ride is a quick 35 - 50min through the Lombardy region and arriving in Como center.
