Is there a dress code?

Black Tie Preferred. We kindly request men to wear tuxedos or formal suit and tie and women to wear gowns to elegant midi dresses. It is recommended that footwear be garden conscious.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Transportation to the wedding festivities will begin from designated pickup locations promptly at 4PM.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes. Guests of the Grand Hotel Imperiale will be picked up via private dock on the resort property at 4PM. For all guests staying elsewhere we kindly request you to gather at the Piazza Risorgimento in Cernobbio for pickup at 4PM.

Yes. Parking onsite is available if preferred.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Stop by for a welcome cocktail, apertivo on the third and gather with loved ones in Italy! The bride and groom will be sending an open invitation for a moderate hike and an afternoon at the villa pool.

What is the best way to get around the lake?

Answer

Como offers plenty of options for navigating the various gems around the lake as long as you are well prepared. The ferry runs around the lake hourly; anticipate crowds as it is high season, pay close attention to the schedule, note route stops and the latest returns. Private boats with captain for hire may be reserved in advance of your stay and serve to indulge in the most extravagant of Italian experiences. Arrangements are best made in advance in cases of water taxis and private boat tours, a in a pinch a little negotiating can go a long way. These tours can provide access to iconic and hard to reach places around Como. Water taxis can be difficult to come by on a whim in high season and land taxis even scarcer. Please note, Uber is not available in the region. Plan ahead! Renting a car is great for day trips, be mindful of parking and narrow streets when driving along the lakeside. Como is an outdoor enthusiasts paradise. There is more to reach by foot or bike in the surrounding hillsides and plenty of trails for all levels of adventure.

What restaurants are recommended in the area?

For the quintessential famed Como experience reserve a table at Villa d'Este, the only way to visit the grounds unless otherwise staying on the property. If Michelen star fare is what you are after, Il Sereno Al Lago offers lakeside fine dining in Torno. If you are after a more casual dining experience, we fell in love with Pizzeria Lugano in the Menaggio hills. Charming trattorias can be found in each town. Being that it is high season and Italians love a leisurely meal, it is wise to plan ahead and make reservations for all of your meals if you are after the best of the best cuisine.
