Things To Do

Spending an August weekend in Williamstown is reason enough to come to our wedding! Here are just some of the things to do in the area.

Clark Art Institute

225 South Street, Williamstown, MA 01267
, (413) 458-2303

A world-renowned museum right in Williamstown! In addition to having amazing art, the Clark has great landscape architecture and maintains great walking trails on Stone Hill behind the museum.

MASS MoCA

1040 Mass MoCA Way, North Adams, MA 01247
, (413) 662-2111

In addition to being our wedding venue, Mass MoCA is an amazing modern art museum in renovated mill buildings in North Adams. It's worth a trip at some point on Saturday before the wedding, or on Sunday before on your way out of town.

Pine Cobble

Williamstown, MA 01267

Pine Cobble is a favorite hike in Williamstown with beautiful views of town and the surrounding area. The trail is a moderate 3 miles round trip, with a pretty steep final climb to the summit.

Mount Greylock

MA

If you're looking to do a more adventurous hike, Mt. Greylock is the highest mountain in Massachusetts, and has great 360-degree views from the summit. There are many trails up Mt. Greylock. The closest options from Williamstown start from the top of Hopper Rd. If you want to do a shorter hike from that trailhead, Stony Ledge also features incredible views and is a shorter (but steep) trip.

Hopkins Memorial Forest

Northwest Hill Road, Williamstown, MA 01267

Evan grew up adjacent to Hopkins Forest on Northwest Hill Road, which is land preserved and maintained by Williams College. There are beautiful forested walking trails with extension trails to the crest of the Taconic Mountains if you're feeling spry.

Mount Hope Park

Williamstown, MA 01267

Mt. Hope is a great place to go for a swim in a cool river during a hot August day. The rocks are great for sitting out on, and there is a picnic area in the small park if you want to bring lunch or an afternoon snack to enjoy in the shade.

Williams College

880 Main Street, Williamstown, MA 01267
, (413) 597-3131

Williams College has many facilities open for public enjoyment, including Taconic Golf Club, tennis courts, a track and many playing fields, and a beautiful restored/new Chapin Library.

Tunnel City Coffee

100 Spring Street, Williamstown, MA 01267
, (413) 458-5010

Tunnel City is a staple coffee shop and study spot for Williams students and community members alike. Stop by to grab a coffee, muffin, and see your friends (and maybe the actors in town for the Williamstown Theater Festival)

Williamstown Theatre Festival

1000 Main Street, Williamstown, MA 01267
, (413) 458-3253

We hope that you'll come to our wedding on Saturday night instead of going to the theater, but if you happen to come for an extra day you can catch a play or musical at the Theater Festival.

For all the days along the way
