Coffee House with sandwiches, pastries, and other light bites.
Old Silk Mill to do some shopping, checkout art, or even get a quick workout in at Lake Region Fitness.
Our Guests staying at The Settlers Inn, Ledges Hotel and Silver Birches also enjoy 24-hour fitness here. Located into the Hawley Silk Mill. Those interested in a workout can ask for a keycard at the front desk of their hotel that enables entry for the duration of their stay.
Really good beers at this nano-brewery. Due to strange PA laws, you can bring in your own food, and they often have a food truck on the weekends.
One of my places around the lake to rent kayaks, tandem kayaks, paddleboards, or pontoon boats! Very close to the different properties and venue.
Zero Frills, no-judgement 18 hole golf course that might have the cheapest beer/shot prices on the turn in America. Great for those who are new to the game we always have a blast here. If you only have time to play 9, the front 9 is wide open links-style and very easy for beginners while the back nine plays completely differently with more woods and water. $30 with a cart to play 18 can't be beat.
18-holes of championship, par-72, Poconos golf course winds its challenging way over 6,579 yards. A really nice course, if you can carry over Hells Gate Gorge on the 14th hole, you've got a story for cocktail hour. Book your tee time ASAP
Great spa to get a massage, hit the pools/hot tubs, take in the views, or sweat it out in the sauna and snow room.
Enjoy this 2.8-mile loop trail right across the lake. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 5 min to complete. This is a popular trail for birding, fishing, and hiking.
We haven't done this, but everyone we see when we stop at the railroad crossings have huge smiles plastered on their faces. They have a 2-hour (10 mile) and a 3.5 hour (20 mile) option...but don't worry, they have electric pedal assist!
Really good homemade ice cream & cones.
Downtown Honesdale is a throwback with breweries (Here & Now, Ice Cream Shops, Shopping, and some restaurants we enjoy) Country Living Magazine named Honesdale one of the 10 Best Small Towns in the U.S. and was featured in a Philly Magazine article titled, “The Little Poconos Town That Accidentally Got Cool.”
Farm to Table Fare in the heart of Downtown Honesdale
If you wake up early and don't mind a drive, the perfect little town on the Delaware River. Hit the Tusten Cup for coffee, lunch @ Laundrette overlooking the water in a must, go antiquing or for a hike.
Might be our new favorite. ~25 mins from the venue on the New York State Side of the Delaware River.
