Point Defiance Park
Point Defiance is a beautiful park with so much to see! There are walking trails, beautiful lookout points, grassy areas to lounge (or get some pent up energy out), gardens, and, of course, the Point Defiance Zoo!
Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium
The Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium is a great way to spend a few hours! Small enough to see in a morning or afternoon, the Zoo has so many fun exhibits, animals we have come to love (we're looking at you, baby Butternut!), and is a beautiful, fun experience!
Washington State Fair
The State Fair is scheduled to run September 3 - 26 this year! See animals (we've seen some of the fanciest guinea pigs ever there!), eat all the food you know you shouldn't (save some room for Fischer's Scones!), and hop on a ride if you feel up for a thrill! We love the fair and have gone each year Melissa has lived in Washington, with the exception of 2020 because...well, you already know.
Point Ruston
Point Ruston is a newly updated addition to the part of Tacoma where Zach grew up. Restaurants, shops, a theater, and a beautiful stroll along the waterfront make this a great place to explore! FYI: parking can get congested, especially when the weather is nice, so bring your patience and enjoy the views.
