Yes, we eloped! Down in Dothan, Alabama with our family, pregnant best friend who drove 6.5 hours from Nashville, and next door neighbors. It was a perfect day that was spearheaded by the mothers of the bride and groom. It was a clear, hot, and humid September evening when Alex and Mike said "I Do" with the maid of honor officiating the service. Why the rushed service? As many of you know, Mike was in flight school to become a Chinook pilot, and the date for when he would find out his next duty station was looming ever closer. As a "single" man in the military, there was no guarantee he would be able to stay in the states; but as a married man, his spouse would be taken into consideration (slightly). With this knowledge and the fact that we had to wait 2 years because of a silly little thing called a worldwide pandemic, we decided to elope! Well…it worked, because we are now living in a gorgeous house in Clarksville, TN about 30 minutes outside of Nashville and Mike’s new duty station is Fort Campbell. We are so completely relieved and thankful to be back in Tennessee! Our quiet and intimate backyard southern wedding was so completely perfect, but we still want to have a major celebration with all of those we love, (with the real John Brennan, not his cardboard cut out stand in). Soooooo….. we are still on for October 22, 2022 in Sedona, Arizona and we are so excited to celebrate our marriage with you!!
