The entire hotel has been blocked for the wedding and given the distance from any other hotels, you'll want to stay at Hótel Búðir. Hótel Búðir is located on the south-west part of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, West Iceland. It’s only a 178 km (110 miles) drive from Reykjavik along a scenic route of this part of the country. Drive towards Reykjavík from Keflavík using highway number 41. From Reykjavik towards Borgarnes take highway number 1. Drive through Borgarnes town and take the road number 54 to the left towards Stykkishólmur. After about a half an hour drive you will pass the intersection to the right towards Stykkishólmur. Keep straight towards Arnarstapi and Ólafsvík and drive for about half an hour. There you will come upon an intersection where you choose the road to the left, road number 574 Arnarstapi – Hellnar. Few hundreds meter on, you will see the sign “Búðir” on your left side. Note: Max speed on the highway in Iceland 90 km/hr (55 mi/hr). All the way to Hótel Búðir, the road is a two-way and with asphalt surface.
