Due to limited space in the venue and safety reasons, the number of people we have on the list is all that is allowed. We have already accounted for long-term plus ones and children at our wedding, adding people we are not familiar with last minute, will cause problems for both our vendors and our venue.
Yes! We will have a salad bar and fruit, a Mac and cheese bar, and taco bar. With all of the ingredients provided, there will be enough to eat for our vegetarian and vegan friends and friends with certain food allergies. If you have any questions about the food options please let us know!
We will be having an open bar at the reception. However, they will also be providing non-alcoholic options for our guests and children so no need to worry! We will have options for everyone!
The ceremony begins at 3:00PM on Saturday, November 18, 2023. We ask that guests arrive at least 15- 20 minutes prior so that you can find parking and a seat before the ceremony begins. Once it starts, we will not be allowing people into the chapel since we will be having a videographer.
The Ceremony will be held at Summerall Chapel at The Citadel : 2 Avenue of Remembrance Charleston, SC 29403 The reception will be held at The Citadel Beach Club: 4700 Palm Blvd Isle of Palms, SC 29451 Both venues are wheelchair accessible.
The dress code is Semi Formal (Dressy-Casual) as we will be in a chapel.
The ceremony will be indoors at Summerall Chapel and the reception will be both indoors and outdoors! Feel free to party inside the beach house or take a breather in one of the chairs on the porch or lawn and enjoy the beach view. You can even walk down the path to put your toes in the water if you'd like!
The end of October and early November is the sweet spot and the best time to visit Charleston SC for great weather and fewer crowds (and you've passed the peak hurricane months). Temperatures range from the mid-50s to low-70s. Late October and November are also the driest months of the year, so hopefully it wont rain on us!
Guests will be asked to arrive 15- 20 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony to insure parking and seating. During this time, the bridal party will be taking photos and Tyler and Megan will be having a private first look and sharing personal vows. After that, the wedding party will join you at the chapel to start the ceremony. Following the ceremony, Megan and Tyler will be taking photos with their families in the chapel while you make your way to The Citadel Beach Club on the Isle of Palms. From there, feel free to enjoy some beverages while you wait. The wedding party will be following shortly behind to help get the festivities started.
We will not be providing transportation from the chapel to the Beach club. All guests are responsible for their own transportation. If you are unable to do so for a medical reason or something similar, please inform us and we will try to accommodate.
Parking around the chapel on campus will be scarce. This is why we are asking guests to arrive in ample time to get to the chapel. You will most likely have to park elsewhere on campus, or at the Holliday Alumni Center and then walk to the chapel on campus. Please let us know if you are not physically able to walk the distance and we will try to accommodate. There will be ample parking at the Beach house in their gravel lot. So no need to fear about finding a spot!
We will be having an unplugged ceremony. We ask that all devices be turned off and kept out of site during the ceremony. We have hired professional photographers and videographers to capture the special moments and we do not want tablets, phones, and cameras to block these moments and be on film. We will post these pictures and videos for you to view at a later time. Feel free to take pictures and have fun at the reception and share your excitement then!
The best way to RSVP would be on our website. Please click the RSVP tab above and follow the steps to RSVP. We hope to see you there!
The RSVP deadline is specified on your invite. Out of Town guests will be given a little bit more of a notice as they have to make travel arrangements. They may be unable to attend due to Thanksgiving being the following week and they may have to travel two weeks in a row and that is a lot. They will need to figure out their plans sooner. Our in town guests will receive their invites a little closer to the wedding as travel and board do not have to be arranged.
Of course! We understand that we all have personal lives and jobs and not everyone will be able to make it. When you RSVP on the website simply say you will be attending the ceremony and then for the reception, let us know you will not be attending. We'd love to have you even for a minute to share this special day!
We do! Our registry will be found on our website under the registry tab! Please let us know if you have questions!
Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.

The reception is scheduled to end at 9:00PM.
While masks are not required, we will provide masks and sanitizer at the doors for those guests who will be more comfortable having one on. We want everyone to be able to have a good time and feel comfortable.
We will update via our wedding website with any changes, so check back in the week prior for any changes. As of right now, we do not foresee anything to change.
Feel free to reach out to Megan, Tyler, or any of their parents for any additional information.
