The airport code for Raj's hometown is TRZ. Sometimes flights to major cities such as Chennai or Mumbai are cheaper. So, you could possibly fly to a major city then book a separate flight to Trichy. Please, let us know if you are having trouble finding a good flight.

PAPER VISAS TAKE MORE TIME SO PLEASE APPLY WELL IN ADVANCE AND CONTACT US IF YOU NEED TO APPLY FOR A PAPER VISA IN CHINA. Make sure your passport is valid (not expired), has up to 6 months validity, and blank passport pages. You can easily apply for an Indian tourist E-visa online at this website: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in Go to this website and click For eVisa by Bureau of Immigration Apply Here Make sure you are on the official government website so you do not get overcharged. I believe the one-month tourist visa should be around 25 dollars. Please let us know if you have any trouble applying for the visa or if you are a citizen of a country that is not being allowed to apply for an e-visa.

Travel Medical Insurance
You may want to make sure you have medical insurance to cover you abroad. Many domestic plans do not cover you outside the US. Let me know if you would like more options there are plenty of providers. Check to make sure your plan covers you for key things such as COVID-19, pre-existing conditions, and for things classified as extreme sports if you are planning anything extra adventurous.

Travel Attire
I would highly recommend bringing a bunch of old pairs of SOCKS to wear into temples. Temples in India will ask you to remove your shoes and being barefoot is very difficult if you are not accustomed to it. The ground can be very hot. So, you definitely want to be wearing socks. Socks are allowed but they will probably get dirty so do not wear new socks.
