Megan was out with her friends and they all decided to download dating apps and set dates for the same night. She wasn't totally serious about it, as she was planning to move back to Michigan soon. But once she started talking to Matt, she knew he was her choice for the date. They got coffee together on a Friday afternoon at Hardy Coffee Co. in Old Market and they both knew that it was something special. When Megan met up with her friends later that evening, she declared that he was "cute cute."

Megan and Matt got engaged at Megan's cottage "Angel Pointe" in Port Sanilac, MI on the 4th of July. The two were joking around at sunset while walking their corgi Phillip along Lake Huron, when Matt suddenly got down on one knee and popped the question. After a few minutes of disbelief, Megan said yes!
