On a mild Wednesday night in early December, Megan and JT met at a wine bar not far from JT's home in the Houston Heights, on what would be their first date. This was only after, by JTs account, Megan ignored him for several weeks on the dating app, Hinge. Megan was in fact in Europe enjoying her travels and not focused on dates. As the two continued their lengthy conversation that first night, they both realized they wanted to see each other again, and soon. A series of dates over the holiday season followed, from trips to view Christmas lights in River Oaks, to a board game date at Tea & Victory (Megan won Ticket to Ride), and finally, a trip to the Houston Museum of Fine Arts to view the Norman Rockwell exhibit, in early January. At the end of that night, standing at the top of the Glassell School of Art overlooking downtown, the two began to realize they had found "the one." The onset of the pandemic brought them even closer, as they chose to quarantine together through most of 2020 (Megan really improved JT's interior decor). They soon realized they were inseparable and made the decision to buy a house together in The Heights in May of 2021, less than 10 minutes away from where they will be celebrating with their family and friends on February 18th.
