We are asking for RSVPs to be sent by October 1st, which is just a bit over a month out from the wedding. We are only doing online RSVPs! You can do that at this URL: https://www.zola.com/wedding/megan-stefani/rsvp If you have any issues RSVPing, feel free to message/text Stefani or myself and we can help you get it sorted.
As everyone coming should be vaccinated, we will not be requiring anyone to wear masks (at the moment); however, we definitely do encourage you to wear one! If you're not vaccinated, then we respectfully ask that you decline our invitation. Of course, depending on what things look like in November, we may make the mask policy more strict--please check back before the wedding!
Cocktail or semi-formal attire--we'd love to give everyone an excuse to dress up after a year of not being able to be together (but we still want you able to cut loose).
We are currently still sorting that out, but as Stef has dietary restrictions (gluten free due to Celiac's) and we have many vegan friends, we are planning on pursuing a taco bar type of option so we can have something for everyone.
Who do you think you're talking to? Of course! But there will be plenty of non-alcoholic beverages for those wishing to skip the booze, of course.
Luckily both the ceremony and reception are at the same place, nearly back to back (likely with a 30 minute or so cocktail hour in between for photos)--the Savoy Ballroom on Commercial Street in Springfield, MO!
Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors in the courtyard and the reception will be indoors in the Savoy Ballroom. However, if there is a storm or (since it is Missouri) snow, we can easily have both indoors. Be prepared for neutral or cold temperatures as Missouri in early November is kind of a crapshoot. We will likely be keeping the ceremony short, however, so you won't have to worry about the temperature too much!
We will be taking photos with our photographer for 30 minutes to an hour, during which we will provide h'orderves and cocktails to keep you sated.
Our theme is very loosely based on art nouveau and the early 20th century, but you don't have to be constrained to the theme. Any colors are permitted--except white. ;)
We recommend arriving 15-30 minutes before the weddings starting time.
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home* so you can celebrate with us. *If you have a newborn but still really want to attend, please contact us so we can discuss things further, as we know it is particularly difficult to find childcare for a newborn, and that they aren't likely to cause any disruptions.
We have a strict guest list to make sure we stay under the venue's limit, so unless you are one of the few out of town guests who received a plus one (your invitation will state your name "and Guest"), we can only allow those listed on the invitation to attend.
Message Stefani or myself either by text or by discord/facebook!
We're actually keeping it pretty small--only about 50 people! So if you're the socially anxious type, I promise it won't be too bad.
Yes!
After doing some pricing, I believe that AirBNB offers the best prices, as many of the lofts on Commercial Street are dirt cheap and very close to the Savoy Ballroom (our venue).
There are several lots near the Savoy (street parking on Commercial is limited to two hours)--contact us and we can provide you with a map.
