This is the classic place to enjoy Christmas-time in the city. Enjoy the beautiful Christmas tree, ice skating at the outdoor rink, hot chocolate, and many family-friendly and free or affordable activities such as mini-golf, photos with Santa, an arcade, bumper carts, and more.
Detroit Christmas Markets & Cadillac Lodge
This is an adorable holiday market featuring local vendors. A great place to do some Christmas shopping! Inside is the beautiful "Cadillac Lodge" which is a heated tent that features festive warm cocktails and snacks. Cadillac Lodge is 21+. We'd highly recommend visiting!
Frita Batidos Detroit
This is the Detroit location of one of our favorite restaurants in Ann Arbor! We've enjoyed many a lunch date here! If you're looking for a late lunch in between the ceremony and reception, you won't regret going here. It is also very close to the reception venue within a few minutes walk.
Green Dot Stables
One of our favorite restaurants in Detroit! They are known for their unique sliders, and we can never choose which ones to try when we visit. They are popular, so be sure to call ahead before heading that way to check how long the wait is. You can join the queue on their website.
Eastern Market
A historic public market that has local artisan vendors ranging from local art to baked goods and produce, to streetfood. Saturday market is open from 9am-4pm!
Detroit Shipping Company
One of our favorite types of places to enjoy for a date night. Detroit Shipping Company is a lively food hall with 6+ restaurants, multiple bars, coffee shops + ice cream, and live music!
The Hudson Cafe
Great place for brunch near the hotel! We enjoyed a breakfast date here after we toured our venues for the first time!
