If you have time, consider one of the free tours at Budweiser! Tours include a visit with the Clydesdales and free drink samples at the end in the biergarten. About a 5-7 minute carride from the hotel.
The Arch grounds were just recently renovated in 2018! Well worth a quick walk to see the park-like grounds and consider purchasing a ticket in advance if you'd like to go up and see the city from the top. 15 minute walk from the hotel.
Catch a game at Busch Stadium (with us on Friday night) for a chance to see legendary cardinals baseball. There is also a Cardinals Museum and Hall of Fame across from the stadium in Ballpark Village.
A one-of-a-kind "museum," the City Museum is like a playground for adults! Several floors of interactive exhibits, including climbing structures outside and a rooftop ferris wheel, slide, and bar. Definitely the best view from our loft!
Only 5 blocks from the Marriott Grand is a unique urban park and sculpture garden encompassing 4 city blocks. It is also home to several water features and a location of Amy's favorite local coffee shop - Kaldi's! Walk over, grab a coffee, and walk through the gardens and sculptures when you have some free time.
Amy's favorite museum in St. Louis - and it's free! The Missouri History Museum has rotating exhibits as well as a few year-round, including one on the 1904 World's Fair held in St. Louis and a kids club house. Additional exhibits during wedding weekend include "Flores Mexicanas: A Lindbergh Love Story" and "Pulitzer Prize Photographs."
This is Keith's favorite St. Louis museum with over 34,000 pieces of art spanning 5,000 years of history - and it's free! Special exhibits during wedding weekend will include: "Printing the Pastoral: Visions of the Countryside in 18th-Century Europe;" "The Bauhaus and its Legacy;" "Oskar Schlemmer’s Triadic Ballet;" and ticketed "Paul Gauguin: The Art of Invention."
Recently voted America's #1 Zoo and top free attraction, check it out and see for yourself why! Our favorites include the Polar Bear, Penguin, Grizzly Bear, and Big Cat exhibits, as well as the octuplet Cheetah Cubs!
Where we took our engagement photos! Beautiful gardens and walking paths, including a rose garden, Japanese Garden, Chinese Garden, and more. Labor Day weekend is the annual Japanese Festival with special exhibits and attractions.
Amy's favorite local coffee shop, and the source of her caffeine addiction thanks to working at one in college. Walk a few blocks from the hotel to grab a great coffee and then peruse the artwork in City Garden's Sculpture Park.
Only 2 blocks from the hotel and one of our favorite places to grab a burger! And if you want fries - you MUST try the fry sauce, you'll thank us later. ;)
One of the best local BBQ joints around. Be sure to check out the daily rotation of specials - they never disappoint. Other great options include The Big Muddy, Brisket Cheeseteak, Ribs, and Brisket.
If you're in the mood for Asian-inspired fare, then Sen Thai is the place to be. Some of our favorites include Drunken Noodles, Pad Thai, and Pineapple Fried Rice, but they have an extensive menu that can satisfy everyone.
Mexican food is our favorite thing to cook at home, but when we don't feel like cooking, this is the where we go! Try a variety of tacos (but make sure to get at least one fried chicken and one portabello) or a burrito, and share some carne asada fries - but get your own margarita!
One of our favorite quick dinner spots. They have a great spice blend on their nugs and make all of their dipping sauces in house.
Our favorite deli - a line forms quickly, but it is well worth the wait. Everyone has their own personal favorite sandwich, but we enjoy the Chicken Shack Ranch and the Mel's Blue & Tangy.
