Scott and Megan first met at Stagecoach in the spring of 2015 while they were with a group of friends from SDSU. Megan did not give Scott the time of day but Scott was smitten. They became Instagram friends shortly after and kept in touch. Fast forward 3 years later and they reconnected at Trevor's at the Tracks in San Juan Capistrano over Swallow's Day weekend. Megan was living in Costa Mesa at the time and went to Trevor's with her best friend, Julie. Scott was living in San Clemente and came to meet some of his friends at the same bar. Scott was wearing his sweatshirt around his waist and Megan thought he was such a cute nerd. Julie and John were joking around telling them how cute they would be as a couple. After a few shots of tequila and some House Beer, they hit the dance floor. They took what Julie and John said to heart because they were already acting like a couple! From that night on, they began seeing each other and hanging out more often in social settings. After months of hanging out, Scott officially asked Megan to be his girlfriend at Lake Powell with her family and the rest is history!
We have to give credit where credit is due! We would not be having our wedding in Sun Valley, Idaho if it wasn't for Megan's uncle, John. He has had a cabin in beautiful Ketchum, Idaho for 10+ years and generously offered his house to us and our friends in the winter of 2019. The 6 of us traveled from LAX to Sun Valley and spent a long weekend skiing and exploring this charming mountain town. We immediately fell in love with it. A few years later, Scott's job offers him a pilot position based out of Boise, and without hesitation, we pack up and move to start our new life in Idaho. Having family and a connection to a town 2 hours away was a high selling point when we decided to move. Now as Idaho residents, we can't wait to spend more of our time in Sun Valley. We can't wait to share this beautiful and historic town with all of you!
