Meet our friends and family who are walking down the aisle with us!

Tori Van Wart

Maid of Honor

I first met Meagan when I had literally zero friends; now, I have almost 3! (Just kidding). I recall the first activity Meagan and I completed together, which was coloring in a world map in our geography class in 6th grade. She was the only person who was worthy of helping me because she understood my obsession with ensuring that every stroke was in the same direction. In our over 13 years of friendship, I can confidently say that Meagan would still do an impeccable coloring job. She’s also really great at a lot of other things, like being the best friend I could ever ask for and such. My friendship with Meagan is truly a once-in-a-lifetime kind of relationship, and I feel so blessed to share so many important moments with her and to call her my best friend <3

Kacy Petersen

Maid of Honor

There is no possible way for me to accurately cram all the love I have in my heart for Meagan Rose in a single paragraph since our friendship has spanned over a decade (circa 2004). She was the first person to approach me when I was the new kid in a new school and we’ve been stuck together ever since in a, hopefully, mutualistic relationship. As such, I’ve had the privilege of watching Meagan blossom into a beautiful, strong, intelligent woman with GREAT personality over the years and I couldn't be more proud. It’s going to be tough having to share the rest of our life together with a lame boy (wink), but I’m willing to do absolutely anything to preserve her happiness. Because she deserves it. Can't wait to ruin my makeup from sobbing hysterically over your happily ever after! ~Goose

Bridesmaid

I am so thankful we got alphabetically paired together as locker buddies in nursing school. You have truly become one of the best friends I've ever had. Getting through school together, all the studying, crying, laughing, birthdays, and holidays. Even the little things like going to the store and finding new fruits (hello plumcot) or driving to Buccees, smelling candles at the mall and drinking strawberry lemonade. You constantly think of others and always try to make others feel loved. I can’t even count the amount of times you’ve made my daughter a surprise basket or went out of your way to make her feel special. I’ve told you so many times I would be beyond lucky if my kiddo turned out to be as good of a person as you are. I can’t wait to watch you and Nick start your lives together!

Anna O'Neal

Bridesmaid

I met Meagan at A&M when I joined APO and loved her immediately. I remember thinking that she was one of the funniest people I had ever met. She quickly became one of my best friends and since then we have made so many great memories together. She is truly the sweetest, funniest, and kindest person I know and will do anything for the people she loves. I am so glad that she found her person and that she is marrying someone as great as Nick. It is clear to everyone who spends time with them that they are absolutely perfect for each other. I’m so blessed to have met Meagan and am honored to stand next to her on her wedding day.

Allison Westra

Bridesmaid

I met Meagan during our sophomore year of college! Although she will deny it, Meagan definitely wasn’t my biggest fan when we first met and frequently gave me the stank eye, but she tolerated me because she was friends with my now husband, David. After forcing my way into her heart, we became super great amazingly fabulous friends who bonded over middle school punk rock, laughing uncontrollably at memes and dumb people on the internet, playing card games until 5 in the morning, scream singing Chop Suey!, Harry Potter, and extremely tame evenings involving Jell-O shots. Meggy is a wonderfully kind, caring, spunky, thoughtful friend and I am so thankful I get to celebrate her on her wedding day with Nicky! <3

Abrielle Canales

Bridesmaid

I met Meagan in 2014 through Alpha Phi Omega and since then we’ve bonded over Taylor Swift, pop punk, swimming, creepy stories, and The Vampire Diaries. Meagan has always been one of the funniest and coolest people I’ve known and getting to be her friend is such a blessing. I’m honored to be one of her bridesmaids and I’m so happy and excited for Meagan and Nick!

Abby Carine

Bridesmaid

Hey, I’m Abby and I had the absolutely pleasure of meeting Meagan in organic chemistry lab in college.. and then again in anatomy lab.. and then, by the grace of God, I had the rest of my college courses with her as well. Her invitation into friendship was much like her own personality; warm, welcoming, honest, and genuine. She lives a life I can’t help but follow. She’s helped me through more study nights than I can count so I can’t wait to help her down the aisle!

Andrea Rose

Bridesmaid

Meagan and I have been friends for OVER 10 YEARS, WHAT?!? Friends for life, for sure. We got really close freshman year of high school during spring break, and our friendship blossomed from there! Good times, bad times, and everything in between. I still have the journals we used to share writing notes back and forth but I promise I won’t show anybody... SO embarrassing. I love you bunches, pretty girl and am so blessed to still have you in my life. You’re my friend, sister, musical soulmate... I’m so happy you’ve found your forever soulmate!! Thnks fr the mmrs 💕 All the best, Andrea Rose

David Westra

Best Man

Nick and I met back in sophomore year of undergrad when we were both just two pre-vet kids with a dream. We bonded over many late night “study” sessions, game nights, and random APO events. Nick is one of those guys that is easy to be friends with since we basically have the same sense of humor (much to the annoyance of our better halves). I was even lucky enough to be there when these two love birds were trying to figure out if they wanted to turn their friendship into something more. Somehow Meagan was able to steal him away from me. Now it’s crazy to think they are finally tying the knot and joining the old married peoples club with Allison and I. Love you guys and cannot wait to stand by Nick’s side on the big day.

Groomsman

I don’t know if I even have memories of before I met him in kindergarten. I just remember we were inseparable. We hung out when we got to school, sat next to each other in class, and played sports together after school. It didn't matter what sport, we decided to do it together. After games we’d beg our moms to let us sleepover. Many times I spent the night at his house and then he’d pack a bag for mine. The next week we’d do it all again. We repeated this through high school, and honestly if he wasn't so much dang smarter than me, we probably would’ve through college too, but I wasn’t destined to be a vet. We grew up together and although Nick always had his brother, he’s the closest I ever had to one. We can’t always see each other as much as we’d like but we will always be brothers.

Joshua Gleason

Groomsman

While I can’t recall the first time Nick and I met, we’ve been friends for as long as I can remember. From fighting over our toys, to going to the same schools, and having the same parents, he’s always felt like a brother to me. So much so that we even decided to live together in college. There’s nothing quite like the whole house hearing Nick’s alarms go off for the past hour… just to hit my snooze alarm too, and know that we’ll both be rushing out the door ten minutes before class. Its almost like its genetic. Good thing Meagan accepts you for your sleeping habits AND your cats! I’m grateful to be standing beside you on the big day!

Joshua Peña

Groomsman

I’ll start from the beginning. It was 1995 and Nicholas was born, the dot com bubble had yet to burst. In the hospital room over, there was another baby born on the same day at the same time. Separated by circumstance, those babies didn’t know it yet, but they'd be friends for the rest of their lives. Who were these kids you ask? That was Nicholas and I. Remember how in the 1st grade we would play in old man Boo Radley’s apple tree and you fell down and broke your arm? Or in high school when we were down 14 points in the 4th quarter, and you said “pass it to me” and saved the game? Classic Nicholas. Now whether or not any or all of this is true is another story. What I do know is you’re a fun, happy, godly, genuine guy. I'm privileged to have you as a friend and I'm so happy for you both!

Michael Felty

Groomsman

Nick and I met in highschool and became close friends in our sophomore year. I couldn’t ask for a better friend between late night whataburger runs, excessive time on Xbox live to our attempts at guitar jam sessions.

Jonathan Wolf

Groomsman

I met Nick sophomore year when I moved into the so called “cat house.” Soon after I met Meagan when she started stealing Nick from our ping pong games and rocket league matches. I like to claim that I became Nick and Meagan’s favorite third wheel in the 3 and a half years I lived with Nick. I am excited to celebrate Nick and Meagan as a groomsman!

Alex Vuong

Groomsman

Nick and I met at orientation for vet school, and I think it's safe to say we became fast friends. I can always count on him for support and to be a positive force, and I'm happy to be able to do the same for him!

Jackson Maddox

Groomsman

Nick and I met at breakfast on the first day of our orientation to vet school. From that day I have only known him to be kind, funny, and chronically almost late to class. Three years of vet school has a way of catalyzing friendships and I feel as if I’ve known Nick for many years. I know that he will be an excellent husband and veterinarian. I look forward to seeing he and Meagan’s future success!
