If you have any questions about our big day please check here first. If there are any questions that you still have leading up to the wedding, please feel free to reach out to Ray or Meadow and we will answer them as soon as possible!
Question

Will there be transportation provided?

Answer

Yes, we will be providing a shuttle to and from The Union Barn to the Hampton Inn & Suites Pittsburgh/Harmarville. Departure times are as follows: From hotel to Union Barn (shuttle will pick up at Hampton Inn- hotels share parking lot) 1pm Evening shuttles: From Union Barn to Hampton Inn First shuttle- 9:50 pm Second shuttle- 11:00 pm

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than August 17th to allow us time to provide a final head count to all of our vendors.

What happens if I do not RSVP in time?

Answer

While we will miss getting to celebrate with you, we have to provide final head counts to all of our vendors in a timely manner. Due to this we will not be able to accommodate you if you do not RSVP by August 17th. Thank you for your understanding.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate with our closest friends and family however, we unfortunately cannot accommodate additional guests. Due to limited capacity, we can only allow the people listed directly on your invitation. Your invitation will be addressed to "{Your Name} & Guest" if a plus one has been given to you. Thank you for your understanding!

Are children invited?

Answer

While we absolutely love your little ones, due to limited numbers and the presence of alcohol we have decided to keep our wedding and reception a 21+ event with the exception of immediate family. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night and look forward to celebrating with you!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We can't wait to see all our friends and family dressed up alongside us on our big day! Dress code is semi-formal or cocktail attire. We kindly ask that NO jeans be worn, rather as suggestions, a floor length or cocktail dress for the ladies, and a suit or sport jacket for the gentlemen. We also request that you refrain from wearing colors traditionally reserved for the bride, such as whites, ivories or very light colors. Including outfits that the base color is predominantly white. Thank you for following our non-optional dress code.

What are your wedding colors?

Answer

Our wedding colors are white, green, and silver/gray. Groomsmen will be wearing a dark green suit and bridesmaids will be wearing silver/gray color dresses.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at 2:00 pm so, please arrive no later than 1:45 pm. This will allow you to park and find your seat. If you arrive after the start of the ceremony you will not be able to be seated and will have to wait until the start of cocktail hour to enter.

Can I take pictures during the event?

Answer

In order for our guests to be fully present with us during one of the most special moment of our lives, we are having an "unplugged" ceremony. We will be having professional photographers and a videographer who will be capturing all of our special moments! While we understand and appreciate that everyone is excited to capture and share our big day, we want to make sure there are no blocked views for our professionals. Every picture of the ceremony will be shared with everyone afterwards! Following the ceremony, you are absolutely welcome to then capture our special day and snap away! Thank you for respecting us, the professionals, and being present during our ceremony.

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be taking place at the Union Barn so, there will be no need to travel. The ceremony will be held outdoors, cocktail hour will be a mix of both outdoors and indoors, and the reception will be held indoors.

Is the venue climate controlled?

Answer

Yes The Union Barn is completely temperature controlled. However, our ceremony will be taking place outdoors so please plan accordingly.

Is there parking on site?

Answer

Yes, there is free parking at the venue for everyone. If you decide at the end of the night to find other ways to safely get home you may leave your car in the parking lot over night, they just request it is picked up by 10 am Sunday morning.

I have a food allergy, will there be food for me?

Answer

There will be many food options for cocktail hour and dinner. If you do have a food restriction or allergy please specify when you RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! The drinks are on us but, the hangover is on you! Celebrate accordingly!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes we did reserve a hotel block at the Hampton Inn & Suites Pittsburgh/Harmarville. There will be a shuttle running to and from the hotel to our venue. Please check under the 'travel' tab to see more information on the hotel and more.
