It all started in January 2021 with a swipe on an app during the pandemic. With the world on lockdown, creativity was key, and our first date—a hike at Kenneth Hahn Park—set the tone for our adventure together. Surrounded by beautiful views and after endless conversation, we quickly realized this was the start of something amazing. On that first date, we learned that, despite living in the Bay Area for several years at the same time, our paths had never crossed—until now. Matthew claims he knew she was “the one” on that very first date. But Tiffany knew he was “the one” after their third date—a picnic at Elysian Park. We shared laughter, our hopes and dreams, and realized we had a mutual and fervent love for the Los Angeles Lakers. We talked for hours on end, only stopping when we very belatedly realized the sky had grown dark around us. After dating for some time, we took another big step and moved in together, building a home full of love, laughter, and plenty of late-night conversations. Fast forward to a sunny day in October 2023, and Matthew surprised Tiffany with an unexpected back-to-back proposal at the Huntington Botanical Gardens followed up with an engagement party with some of their closest friends in Marina Del Rey. She, of course, said “yes” with no hesitation. We can't wait to keep getting lost in conversation with one another—and with all of you—as we begin our next chapter.
