Denver International Airport has the most flights into Colorado from across the US; approximately 2 hours from Vail (100 miles). Epic Mountain Express (noted below) offers shuttle service from the airport to Vail so no need to rent a car if staying in either village/along free bus route!

Approximately, 30 minutes from Vail, this airport is the most convenient in terms of proximity and location. Multiple transportation options exist from the airport for the short trip to Vail (including hotel shuttle service and rental car agencies).

With shuttles departing the Denver airport every hour, this is the most convenient transportation available. Epic Mountain Express does offer private shuttle options and premier black SUVs. Travel Note
The free Vail bus system runs every 10-15 minutes from Lionshead to Vail Village. While the 15-20 minute walk along the river between the two villages is beautiful, the bus is a great way to get around without walking. Look for the bus stops along the main street in Vail and hop right on! See link below for schedule and bus stop locations.

Here are a few recommendations to help acclimate to the higher elevation so you may enjoy the entire wedding weekend of activities! * Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate! Begin drinking lots of water (2-3) days prior to your arrival in Colorado and continuously throughout your stay. * If possible, plan to arrive 1-2 days prior to the day to allow your body to adjust gradually to the substantial increase in altitude. * Alcohol will affect you faster than normal. One drink = three drinks.
