Buena Vista Main Street Walk-About
Go for 30 min or peruse for two hours! Main Street Buena Vista has everything you need to stay entertained from an adorable bookstore, fantastic coffee, locally distilled whiskey, cute shops, artist galleries, and delicious restaurants!
Buena Vista Riverpark
Take a short hike, catch a round of frisbee golf, or watch locals surf the river!
Perusing South Main
Another little towny area in the newer part of town. Again, bop around grab coffee, lunch, and stop into local art galleries. Keep a lookout for the very cool boulder garden where you can give this fun sport a try!
Nearby Mountain Town Exploring
Hop in your car for a lovely drive and check out nearby mountain towns. F street in Salida (30 min south) has similar vibes as Main Street Buena Vista with a wider selection of places to explore. Leadville (40 min north) has another cute main street and is a fantastic direction to head if looking for some mountain lake time or higher elevation hikes! You could also check out the old ghost town of St Elmo (30 min west) to see some mining history (and more great hiking!).
