Hello family and friends! We can't wait to celebrate with you!

We love telling this story. We met at In Cahoots, a country line dancing bar, which has since closed down. This was actually the one and only time either of us has ever been to In Cahoots. It was college night on Wednesdays, and that meant $2 beers and line dancing lessons at 6 pm. Mayra: I was on the fence about going that night, but it was one of my friend's birthdays and was ultimately convinced to go. On the uber ride over, my driver actually told me that he met his wife at this bar. My friend and I laughed it off and joked about how maybe I would meet mine, little did I know that would turn true! Eric: I also was planning to stay home but all my roommates were all going, and all but one had dates so he told me I had to go and be his wingman. The $2 beers also played a factor. Mayra: They had just started teaching a solo line dance when Eric walked to the dance floor and that is when we first locked eyes. Eric is 6’3 and very hard to miss, and I remember thinking he was very handsome. Eric: I noticed Mayra right when I walked in, I thought she was really cute and her smile lit up the room. After we both "learned" this dance, the host of the night then announced that partner dances were next and to head back to the dance floor with a partner. Mayra: If you know Eric you will be shocked to hear that he walked over and asked me to dance. I told him okay as long as he didn’t laugh at me, and he promised he wouldn’t. After stepping on him a few hundred times and Eric not keeping his word and laughing at me, he offered to buy me a drink. We went outside to talk on the patio and we ended up talking for 2 hours. Before we left Eric asked for my number and the rest is history. We went on our first date the next weekend and have been together ever since. We are lucky we had friends to convince us to go that night!
