for always

We met during a 2017 Fall semester class at UTEP. It was the day that we were choosing lab groups, and Mayra was late to class, as always! As two of the last few people remaining, we ended up in the same group. Fast forward to 2020, thanks to Mr. Kramer, a solid first date with green tea, and the next three years just flew by! Nos conocimos durante una clase del semestre de otoño de 2017 en UTEP. Era el día que estábamos eligiendo grupos de laboratorio y Mayra llegó tarde a clase, ¡como siempre! Siendo dos de las últimas personas que quedaban, terminamos en el mismo grupo. Avance rápido hasta 2020, gracias al Sr. Kramer, una primera cita con té verde, ¡y los siguientes tres años pasaron volando!

The day before Mayra’s birthday, both of our families went out for an early birthday celebration. The celebration continued afterwards and finally led to a beautiful backyard proposal setting, which was made possible by Josh’s family. With Jason Aldean’s ‘Got What I Got’ playing, Josh got down on one knee, popped the question and Mayra said yes! Over a year later, here we are, ready to celebrate the start of this next chapter of our lives with you! El día antes del cumpleaños de Mayra, nuestras dos familias salieron a celebrar el cumpleaños anticipadamente. La celebración continuó después y finalmente condujo a una hermosa propuesta en el patio, que fue posible gracias a la familia de Josh. Mientras sonaba 'Got What I Got' de Jason Aldean, Josh se arrodilló, hizo la pregunta y Mayra dijo que ¡sí! ¡Más de un año después, aquí estamos, listos para celebrar el comienzo de este próximo capítulo de nuestras vidas contigo!
