Meet us in Lagos

We met for the first time spring of 2020, at the Safeway on Coburg Road in Eugene. It was highly romantic, you know, first meeting by the bottle return in the parking lot (lol). Max says he just remembers the sun shining in my eyes and he thought they were the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen. A few months after we met he messaged me on instagram, and after multiple lost sporting bets, I finally agreed to go on a date with him. Immediately he showed me how thoughtful, kind, and caring he was. Max planned our entire first date, and when he asked if I wanted to go on an adventure I couldn’t resist. We talked for hours driving on the beautiful backroads between Marcola and Corvallis. I knew then I was falling hard for this guy, and he knew I was the woman he was going to spend the rest of life with.

September 24th was a rainy and overcast day, not ideal weather for a nice glass of pinot, but it ended up being one of the best days of our lives. Max was acting unusual all morning and I was having a terrible morning, really I was just grumpy. We were running late, family was there already and for a slight second I thought he may be proposing. I didn’t want to be disappointed so I attempted not to think about it any further. Sarver was such an important place for us, so I was happy to have our families meet there. As soon as we said our hellos, Max drug me to the rail in the pouring rain to “show me a house for rent,” I knew immediately he was bullshitting me. Before I knew it he was on one knee and asked the all important question, “I was wondering if you didn't have any other plans, if you would like to spend the rest of your life with me.” Of course I said yes, and then came all of our best friends surprising me. He accomplished the perfect proposal and I couldn’t have asked for anything else.
