EuroAirport Basel or Frankfurt Airport

Freiburg does not have a dedicated airport. The closest airport is Basel (EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg) which is about a 50 minute drive from city center. There are buses into the city, or if you’re planning to go on to other cities from Freiburg, there are car rental options as well. Alternatively, Frankfurt airport is a good option, with a train station connected which has direct train connections to Freiburg (this is about a 3 hour train trip and ought to be booked in advance!).
