Travel Note
Passports!
Passports are required to travel to and from Mexico, and must not expire within six months of your travel dates. Routine processing for new passports is typically 4-6 weeks, expedited processing is 2-3 weeks for an increased fee. A visa is not required. You may purchase flights prior to acquiring your passport, and enter your passport information closer to the date. Please don't hesitate if you need any assistance with your application or have any questions about the process! Puerto Vallarta is a very tourist friendly destination, and expect anywhere from 30min to 1hr for Customs on arrival and 1-2 hours for re-entry to the US. ALSO - DOWNLOAD THE MOBILE PASSPORT APP. Repeat! DOWNLOAD THE "MOBILE PASSPORT" APP on your phone prior to leaving the US and enter your passport information. Upon landing in the US, you can answer the four Customs questions and activate your QR code for re-entry. It will save you a significant amount of time and believe us- it's free and worth it!
Flight
Our flights on Southwest Airlines
We will be flying in on Southwest Airlines to Puerto Vallarta on flight #124 arriving at 3:45pm on Thursday, June 13. We will be departing at 4:40pm on Southwest Airlines flight #125 on Tuesday, June 18. There are many commercial airlines which fly to Puerto Vallarta (PVR) direct or with brief layovers. If you would like to arrange transportation to your accommodations through our house driver, please feel free to contact us!
Travel Note
Taxis, Cab fare, and Uber
While most cabs around Puerto Vallarta are very reasonable and inexpensive, it is advised to negotiate the price for the cab prior to entering. If you choose to use cellular data while you are in Puerto Vallarta, Uber is offered as a service and can be utilized during your stay.
