For a mixture of retail and restaurants, the Public Market is located right by our venue.
We recommend the Lakefront Brewery Tour or just stopping by for a beer (or two) and cheese curds.
Although Lakefront Brewery is a favorite, there are multiple breweries to visit in Milwaukee. Here is a list of great options: Eagle Park Brewing Company https://www.eagleparkbrewing.com/ Third Space https://thirdspacebrewing.com/ City Lights https://citylightsbrewing.com/ Broken Bat (close to the venue) https://brokenbatbrewery.com/ Explorium (close to the venue) https://www.exploriumbrew.com/
If you'd like to check out the home of the Milwaukee Bucks, we recommend heading over to Deer District with a variety of restaurants and bars located outside of the stadium. Also nearby is Who's on Third, which is another great spot for cheese curds and the Old German Beer Hall where you can play hammerschlagen.
If you'd like to go for a run, walk or rent a Bublr Bike along the lake, we recommend Lake Shore State Park behind Summer Fest grounds. This was Sami's favorite running path when she lived in Milwaukee!
If you love art, we recommend exploring the Milwaukee Art Museum. If you're on a time crunch and can't go in, there are multiple paths along the museum to view the iconic Quadracci Pavilion. This path also connects to the Lake Shore State Park.
If you're a fan of baseball, you're in luck! The Milwaukee Brewers play at home on June 17th if you plan to extend your stay after the wedding. We recommend tailgating at American Family Field aka Miller Park prior to heading into the game. There are also bars that offer free shuttles to and from the game, which include Jack's American Pub, Steny's and Who's on Third.
We recommend 3rd St. Market Hall located downtown MKE to grab a bite, have a sip or hit the links!
