We met at happy hour in Chicago. A group of us went out almost every Friday after work. After one of the happy hours, Sami invited Matt to a pizza bar where she was meeting her friend and they started to hit it off. Matt even ordered a “Wisconsin style” pizza to try to win Sami over. Another person at the bar asked if they were married and at the time it was awkward, but how crazy that 3 years later they were right! Soon after was quarantine, so their dates turned into long walks, games and movie nights and they have been inseparable since!

We had "dinner plans" at Navy Pier and left earlier to walk along the lakefront since it was a beautiful day, but Matt had other plans for the evening. We walked along a path close to Navy Pier where Matt proposed! A few friends were hiding to capture the moment. After the proposal, he planned a surprise toast at Pops for Champagne and dinner at our favorite restaurant with our families in Chicago.
