Flight
The Lihue Airport is the only airport to fly into on the island of Kauai. There are many flights from San Diego, LAX and SFO to Lihue, as well as connecting flights from Honolulu. Southwest, Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines are generally good airlines to book flights to Lihue. Kapa'a is 10 miles (approx. 20 minute) drive from the Lihue Airport. Uber, Lyft, and taxis are available for rides to and from the airport.
Rental Car
Turo is usually the most affordable option for rental cars and we've used it many times. Turo is a sharing marketplace where you can book cars from a community of trusted hosts and they will coordinate the drop off of a rental car at the airport for you.
Rental Car
Kayak allows you to search through various car rental companies such as Avis, Hertz, and Budget to find cars that you can pick up directly from the airport.
Rental Car
An affordable, no-frills rental car company that offers basic rentals. We have rented a car from here and had a good experience.

This is where the ceremony and reception will be held. If you would like to stay here, we recommend checking trivago.com, booking.com and tripAdvisor.com for discounted rates. Additionally, booking through the hotel offers a senior discount.

Google maps is pretty useful for finding hotels and good deals. You can find nearby hotels through the link and compare prices from different booking sites. The Aston Islander on the Beach, Plantation Hale Suites, Hilton Garden Inn Wailua Bay, and Kauai Shores Hotel are a few of the nearby hotels that you can find with this link. We recommend checking booking.com, trivago.com, and Expedia for discounted rates.
House Or Rental
Airbnb is generally the most affordable options for finding a place to stay. Many condos are listed near the venue as rentals.
House Or Rental
Similar to Airbnb, VRBO is another option for rentals nearby.
Travel Note
If you are staying at the Sheraton Coconut Beach Resort or at another hotel or rental in Kapa'a and are not planning on visiting other areas of the island, a rental car is not particularly necessary. However, if you plan on traveling to other areas of the island, a rental car is necessary. Uber and Lyft are available from the Lihue Airport to Kapa'a and around the town of Kapa'a, however, they are not abundant.
