Each year, CSU trials over 1,000 different cultivars of annual bedding plants. Varieties are evaluated for plant vigor, uniformity, floriferousness and tolerance to environmental and biotic stresses. In layman's terms they plant a bunch of flowers and see how the fair. The flowers bloom through out the season but it is a beautiful spot to take a walk and look at the different varietals. Plus it is a totally free experience!
Horsetooth Reservoir contains trails for hiking, biking, and bouldering. You can rent paddle boards and kayaks to enjoy the reservoir itself or even take a swim at approved beach areas. Visitor Center hours in March-October are 9 AM - 4 PM, 7 days a week
Fort Collins is a notoriously bike friendly town. Take a four or six hour tour to multiple breweries and explore the town for under $100 or rent bikes at many of the spots in town and build your own tour.

Matt and I love playing old arcade games in this casual bar scene. You can ask for gloves and they have sanitazing stations through out the venue. if you make your way to Denver you should check it out!
One of our favorite date day spots when we first moved to Denver. You can definitely spend a few hours in the gardens and they have different themed gardens as well.
Great alternative to a hike. This is a notable scenic route with pull offs along the side to get great photos of the mountains. Just pay a car entrance fee and drive up from Echo Lake’s Highway 103 to the top of the Summit Lake road.
Red Rocks' summer concert series is coming up soon so there are lots of opportunities enjoy the acoustics of this outdoor venue. People also use the venue in the mornings and during the day to exercise and walk the trails in the area.

A great way to spend the day with the family in tow! Denver Zoo was recently ranked as one of the most ethical zoos in the country. If you want a unique experience you can pay a little extra for an up close experience with some of your favorite animals.
One of Matt's favorite breweries. If you don't have time to stop in they also sell some of thier beers in grocery stores so be on the look out for popular names like the Pretzel Assassin or Princess Yum Yum!
