This is entirely up to each one of you, there’s no obligation to stay a certain duration. We’re excited to see each & everyone of you!
Everyone is responsible for booking their own flights and resort stays. No one is obligated to stay anywhere, we want everyone to feel zero pressure and make your own adventure out of this beautiful place! Cant wait to see everyone in PV!
A recent update regarding international COVID travel. As of yesterday we were made aware that to re-enter the US on returning flights, all travelers must produce a Negative COVID test 24 hrs prior to re-entering. As we previously noted, check with your individual resorts to confirm testing is available on site. Vidanta (where we are staying) does have on-site testing, and at the time of check-in the Concierge will schedule COVID testing prior to departing. All guests, please check with your individual resorts/Concierge prior to departing. Can't wait to see everyone in less than 60 days!
Please continue to check back on our website as we will continue to update as necessary so everyone knows what the itinerary will be for any additional group events outside of the wedding.
For those that choose to stay in & around downtown Puerto Vallarta, the airport is 5-20 minutes from most everything. For those that choose to stay in Nuevo Vallarta (this is where we stay as well as where the marina is to catch the boat for the wedding) the airport is 15-30 minutes from most resorts/hotels in this area.
First and foremost, we have been to PV several times and absolutely love it! Not only is it a beautiful picturesque city located at the base of the Sierra Madre Mountains on beautiful Banderas Bay, but its also a safe city. In all our travels we've had nothing but amazing times, the locals are very polite & friendly. The caution here is to AVOID everyone in the Airport that's trying to offer you a ride-DO NOT make eye contact or engage them; you may find yourself in a timeshare meeting or someplace you DO NOT want to be; therefore its our best suggestion to A. check with your individual resort regarding transportation to & from the Airport, most resorts offer their own shuttle service. B. you can find your own cab upon immediately exiting the Airport-for those staying in the Nuevo Vallarta area, you can plan to spend $10-$20 on a cab ride from the Airport to your resort; for those staying in the Puerto Vallarta, your price may be a bit cheaper; however I'd recommend the $10-$20 range.
The CDC recently released new guidelines regarding international travel. As it stands they require a false COVID test prior to re-entry; this is suggested to take a test within 72 hours of your return flight and its required to show proof of these results. I've included the link to the CDC website and will continue to monitor prior to our travel. Also, I will seek guidance from the Concierge at the resort regarding local testing sites and provide this info as well. Its a great suggestion to check with your own Concierge as well, as we certainly do not want anyone having issues re-entering the US. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/map-and-travel-notices.html
Cab fare is typically quite cheap! In most cases its similar to an Uber fare, and we recommend always keeping an extra $10-$20 on hand for cab rides. Of course you can rent a car if need be, otherwise visit our "TO DO" tab on the website and check out PV Cool Rentals-they offer a wide selection of scooters, ATV's, and other fun rides to explore the city and surrounding areas!
We will continue to update the website with any new info between now & the wedding. If anyone has any questions that we haven’t answered, feel free to call/text Matt or Aimee at 269-806-1374 or 616-886-6145
