Frequently Asked Questions
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by March 1st.

Question

Help! The website won’t let me RSVP!

Answer

You must type in your name EXACTLY as it states on the paper invitation. Other ways to rsvp: call the bride or groom, text them at 805-512-6459, or send in the paper insert from the paper invitation.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The average temperature in Santa Barbara in April for a typical day ranges from a high of 68°F (20°C) to a low of 50°F (10°C). Some would describe it as mildly cool with a gentle breeze. -Plan for warm sun and a cool breeze as we will be right next to the beach.

Question

What is the dresscode?

Answer

Since it's Spring time and it's a celebration (and because let's face it, Beige is boring), please come dressed to impress in any of our colors: neon pink, purple, bright blue, lime green. PLEASE NO BLACK OR WHITE. *Consider bringing a pair of flats or sandals during the ceremony due to uneven ground (grass).

Question

Can kids come?

Answer

Yes! Kids are very welcome to come! We’ll have bubbles and toys for them at the Sunken Garden. Then at Moxi, they’ll get to run around the interactive museum. Enjoy the Lego wall, lightbright wall, car race track area, and all of the other fun science areas!

Question

Can I request a song?

Answer

Depends :) Talk to the bride and groom.

Question

What kind of food will be at the reception?

Answer

Due to the generous sponsorship of BBQs 4 All, we will be treated to a tri-tip dinner, with all of the fixings, garlic butter bread, salads, and drinks. A huge thank you to BBQs 4 All, my dear uncle Rob’s Santa Maria style bbq catering company!

Question

Will the bar be open or cash bar?

Answer

It will be open starting at cocktail hour. Please celebrate responsibly as the bride and groom will ask anyone who poses a risk to themselves or others to kindly step out.

Question

Other Important Details

Answer

Please no religious or political speak of any kind. You will be kindly escorted out.

Question

What do I do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

*See the Things To Do Tab above!* Since the courthouse and Moxi are only 6 min by car or 15 min walking distance, there are a lot of beautiful areas to explore: -State street: the main downtown with shopping, restaurants and bars. -Alameda Park: gardens and ponds filled with ducks, turtles and the occasional koi fish, a couple blocks north of the courthouse. -Stearns wharf across the Moxi. -The Funkzone: this is the area the Moxi is in. Filled with wine tasting, a Biergarten, specialty shops and more. -The beach across the street from the Moxi. -Santa Barbara zoo is only 15 min walking south of the Moxi.

Question

Can I bring a friend?

Answer

If your invitation allows for a +1, you may. If it does not, and you think that is in error, please talk with the bride or groom. Due to a strict limit imposed by the venues and city fire marshal, anyone without an invitation unfortunately cannot be permitted.
