Question

Do I need to exchange money?

Answer

The exchange rate is ±18 pesos/$1.00 USD. If you divide the pesos amount by 18 you’ll arrive at what it should be in US dollars. There are ATM machines and exchange bureaus in and around the main-square (El Jardin). Many hotels and restaurants take credit cards and US dollars, but many smaller shops may not be set up to. It is best to carry pesos! We would recommend going to your bank a week or two before your trip to Mexico and getting about $300 USD worth of Pesos.

Question

How to get around the city?

Answer

We do not recommend renting a car. The best way to get around San Miguel, is on foot. Some of the most exciting discoveries can be found along its winding walkways. Just be sure to pack comfortable sneakers; cobbled, narrow streets can be tough on feet. There are also cabs are everywhere and very cheap! If you take a cab while in the city, make sure you use a green or white one (these are official). Also make sure to agree on a rate to your destination before accepting the ride. Don't forget though! You will need to book a car to take you from the airport to San Miguel and back. That's the only important ride to be aware of during your time here.

Question

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP in the RSVP section of this website by August 1, 2023 The cutoff for RSVP will be September 18th.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

To allow all guests the ability to relax and really let loose, we have chosen to make our special weekend adults only. We hope you will understand our decision and take the opportunity to let your hair down, kick up your heels and celebrate in style!

Question

What is the weather like?

Answer

San Miguel is in the desert, which means gorgeous days and cool nights. We always recommend bringing a jacket! In October, daily high temperatures are around 76°F. Daily low temperatures range from 54°F to 49°F.

Question

Passports?

Answer

Make sure you have a valid passport that does not expire before the big weekend!!!

Question

WhatsApp?

Answer

Download WhatsApp on your phone. It is an international messaging app (similar to texting). All of the car companies, hotels and airbnbs will use this app to communicate with you about your upcoming stay and travel plans. It's extremely helpful and straightforward to use! Start to familiarize yourself with it now if it's new to you!

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Thank you for your RSVP. Unfortunately, we are at capacity and cannot accommodate more guests on the big day, so please accept our sincere apologies. We’re looking forward to celebrating with you!

Question

How long should I stay?

Answer

We know that time away from home and work is precious so we recommend making the most of your trip and staying as long as you can! With that being said, you can see most of San Miguel in 2-3 days. We will be arriving to SMDA Wednesday October 18th.
