Our New Name

Meet the Weavers!

We are excited to share our new last name with you! As we talked through why we loved our own last names, we both realized that our names hold significance in our family and in our communities. Additionally, LGBTQ couples often struggle with taking one or either partner's last name because there has been animosity from family... but we are both incredibly blessed to have been supported by both families from the start. So thank YOU for making it difficult to part with our names! Both of us have worked hard to learn, love, and honor our stories. The good things, the really tough things, the ways we have grown, the ways we have caused pain, the ways we have learned how to love. We are learning the cultures of our families and existing relationships. As we create our own family, we are taking threads from each of our stories and weaving a new tapestry. All of that to say, our new last name will be Weaver!
