After a hectic year of navigating uncertainties, we both grew a lot closer to each other, and we both cherish our friendship deeply. Makoto has encouraged me not only through difficult times during our year, but also inspired me to love others the way he does.

Candace and I bonded over having a terrible Chinese teacher back in high school and since then we've been friends throughout the seasons of life. She's the person who brings the spice and laughter to my life. Even though she's now 2,000 miles away, she's always there for me.

When Zach first got in touch with me, it was through a text message, and my initial thought was "Who is this random stranger texting me?" We soon became close friends after talking about our shared experiences with our upbringings, and we even found out that our ethnic background is from the same place of origin. While I had many painful memories of navigating my cultural background, Zach has encouraged me and helped me find healing in loving the culture we come from.

Fun fact is that Emily and I never had our paths cross besides having mutual friends. But one day we started snapchatting each other about kdramas and it was an instant forever friendship. She's someone I know that will give receive honesty and love to those she cares about.

Matt and I became friends in college, but did not grow closer to each other until the latter portion of our college career. We often butted heads with each other when we served in ministry together, but we saw how valuable it is to have differences with each other. Till this day, I love how Matt sees the world, and I am encouraged by his friendship whenever we have deep conversations.

Daye was my first friend in college when we gravitated towards each other on the grass of OCOB. She's the person I could go to just exist/vent/cry/talk and I'd be wholly accepted for who I was. She is also one of the most fun people to be around and I could not imagine our day without her.
