Our love story is as real as it is beautiful. In this photo, we were riding our new engagement high. Later on...We had pizza for dinner :)

Our engagement shoot was one of those days where, the sun had just right amount of shine. We were so tired but looking forward to more...Does it show?

And who can forget the day he told my father he wanted to marry me? He came with a lot of confidence in hand + shopping :) This day...We fell just a little more in love.

He also came with friends! Not that he needed the back up, but they were definitely nice to have! Such a lovely and fun filled day. My dad responded the only way he could...With a YES.

We have so much fun together and this day was no exception. Only a few weeks into our engagement and we were planning out the rest of our lives...He got a cool job offer on this day too!

Did I mention how much we love to play dress up? :)

One of the things that we don't speak much about was how difficult the long distance was...On this day, we were saying goodbye, I was heading to the airport the next day, already missing him.

Nobody tells you you're in the good old days until they are past. Precorona the first time I met his sister and a few close friends. We were so new I had no idea they were to become my family as well!

This was what proposing was like from my view. Beautiful.

I took her to where I grew up. This place holds a lot of memories for me. I got to reminisce and show her from whence I came. Here's to even greater memories with #myone.

She got to meet my parents this weekend. It was a great moment for us. My parents had been waiting to welcome her to the family. + my mum's beet juice won me points! (if you know you know!)

So, a lot was happening in this simple picture. I don't know if there's a more important statement in African romance than 'Let me take you to my mother'. P.S. It was all smiles under that mask!
