Matron of Honor
Ellie is Laura's sister and her Matron of Honor! Ellie is the oldest of the Pitz children, and has always been a role model to Laura. She is intelligent, thoughtful, kind, and has been planning this wedding well before we started planning it ourselves! Ellie brings so much joy to Laura's life and has also brought three of Laura's favorite people into this world - her nephews Wes and Alden, and niece Maddie! Of course Laura loves Ellie, but Mark is a fan too. He loves that Ellie: - Cares so much about her family and her job - she makes this world a better place. - Always puts enough strawberries in her strawberry shortcake. - Makes one hell of a deviled egg. - Is married to Adam, who is one dope skier.
Sean Oswald
Best Man
Sean is Mark's friend and Best Man! How did he find that out? After Mark asked him to be part of the wedding, Sean agreed, and then asked who the best man was. Mark's reply? I thought I just asked you. The communication between these two has always been excellent. Mark and Sean were set up through a friend when Sean needed a few more guys for a ski trip. Mark reached out, and Sean was all but eloquent when asking Mark if he could really ski "...cause this is a real ski trip." We love that Sean: - Is O.K. celebrating his 5th anniversary by standing along side us as we say our vows. - Has excellent taste in whiskey. - Has been a huge supporter of our relationship since day -14. - Is married to Em and has two of the sweetest munchkins we know.
Katie Pitz
Maid of Honor
Katie is Laura's sister and her Maid of Honor! Katie and Laura have always been close. There have been times in their lives when they looked alike, acted alike, and now they are on the same timeline.... Katie and Laura started dating Matt and Mark within a month, got engaged 2 weeks apart, and are getting both getting married in May (until COVID)! Katie is funny, supportive, caring, is Laura's favorite singing partner, and best resource as they plan their weddings at the same time! Of course Laura loves Katie, but Mark is a fan too. He loves that Katie: - Makes him soap - she's very crafty. - Has the ability to enjoy the simple things in life. - Taught him about 3D printing. - Likes to play games so he doesn't have to. - Is married to Matt, who is one heck of a slopeside drinker.
Evan Ruch
Groomsman
Evan is Mark's friend and groomsman! Evan and Mark have been many things to one another, colleagues, landlord/ tenant, groom/officiant, but most importantly, friends. Evan is one of the most caring people we know, and welcomed Laura into his life early in our relationship, always with a welcoming hug and a smile. You can count on Evan as a ski partner, for a great night out, and to be there when you need him. We love that Evan: - Is always ready for a tailgate. - Knows anyone and everyone in Baltimore. - Will call to hang out, even when he knows one of us is travelling. - Is married to Ashley, who completes him.
Michelle Ames
Bridesmaid
Michelle is Mark's sister, and Laura's Bridesmaid! Mark and Michelle are best friends as much as they are brother and sister. Michelle has welcomed Laura into her life and family with open arms and an open heart. Laura couldn't be more excited to gain such an amazing, thoughtful, dedicated, and fun new sister! Of course we both love Michelle! We love: - Spending the weekend in Raleigh every year for the Sir Walter Miler. - Exploring new places - from DC to Japan. - Her fur-babies - Torch and Finley! - That she is so passionate about running - she finished the 6 world majors, and is now dedicated to running an marathon on every continent (4 down, 3 to go)!
Mike Pitz
Groomsman
Mike is Laura's brother and Mark's groomsman! Mike is intelligent and hilarious (just don't tell him that). He's competitive, especially with his sisters, but would do anything for his family and friends. Mike made a bet with the family 4 years ago. If he won, we were all going heliskiing. Luckily, he did win and Laura got to 1) go heliskiing and 2) "woo" Mark with her recent skiing adventures when they met a month later. (Spoiler alert: It worked). We love that Mike: - Is always ready for a good time. - Knows a lot of crap and is happy to teach you (wake boarding, drinking games, financial investments....) - Is married to Becca - everyone loves a good Penn State v. Michigan State Rivalry.
