Question

When to arrive at Smathers Beach?

Answer

Between 6- 6:15 pm is preferred. There will be live music and water to keep you hydrated! Important: The wedding organizers have a very strict no-alcohol policy, so please don't bring any IN to the ceremony. What you do at your tailgate is completely up to you! ;)

Question

What should I wear to the ceremony?

Answer

Beach casual is the preferred attire. However, we ask no flip-flops or shorts please and thank you! Remember the ceremony is in the sand, so heels might not be a good option.

Question

Is the wedding outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony is located on Smathers Beach in Key West. It will be completely outdoors, in the sand, and uncovered. We will provide a hydration station with water to keep everyone refreshed!

Question

What happens if there is rain in the forecast?

Answer

Florida has unpredictable weather, as we all know. In the case of rain, our wedding planner will push the ceremony to a different time or the next day. So, we would like to ask that our guests arrive at Key West Thursday evening or Friday morning in case the ceremony is moved to an earlier time.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

YES! We love that you want to remember our special day! We do ask that there is no flash on when taking photos during the ceremony, as this will interfere with professional photography. Thank you in advance!

Question

Where do I park for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be held at Smathers Beach. If you park directly at the beach access, the parking fee is $5 per hour. If you don’t mind a little walking, you can park a bit down the road from Smathers Beach, where there is free parking. It is about a 10-minute walk to Smathers Beach from the free parking. If you’d like to avoid parking, Uber is a great option to get to the ceremony.

Question

Is there a wedding gift registry?

Answer

We are not asking that our guests provide gifts, as we understand this trip can get pricey. We would much rather have you at our wedding to celebrate and make memories with us than receive material gifts!

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

RSVPs to the wedding will be done through our website! Click the RSVP tab on our website --> enter one person's first and last name --> click continue. This will open a drop-down with the grouped members of your party. Click Select and check will attend or will not attend for the guests listed. This will go through the three listed events: the ceremony, the reception, and the after-party. Please let us know what you plan to attend so we can have a finalized head count.

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

We ask that all invited guests RSVP by October 15th, 2023.

Question

Are children invited to the ceremony?

Answer

We are asking that no children are present at the ceremony. We don't mean to offend with this request.

Question

When will we know details about the reception?

Answer

We ask that everyone RSVP by October 15th, 2023 so that we can then plan a reception/dinner depending on the amount of people attending the wedding. Meals and drinks will be paid for by the bride and groom regardless of outcome! UPDATE: reception details have been added to the schedule tab :)

For all the days along the way
